INDUSTRY TRAINING USAGE

Flow cytometry has applications in immunology, virology, cancer biology and infectious disease monitoring. It analyzes single cells suspended in a buffered salt-based solution. It allows for the simultaneous characterization of mixed populations of cells from blood and bone marrow as well as solid tissues that can be dissociated into single cells such as lymph nodes, spleen, mucosal tissues, and solid tumors. Thus, flow cytometers can be used to analyze cell populations as well as to sort cells for further analysis.
